What is NISPA?
The Northern Ireland Small Practices Association is a representative organisation for small GP practices in Northern Ireland. A small practice is a GP practice with up to three GP Principals or a practice with up to 4,000 registered patients. NISPA is a constituent group of the Family Doctor Association in the UK.
Small practices have an important role in primary care, offering continuity of care and convenient access. However they face increasing constraints and they will need to address these issues, if they are to continue to provide a high quality service to their patients. See NISPA positional paper reviewing the current status and setting out suggestions for the way forward.
